How it works

OneTouchConnect is currently available as a Unity plugin, which can be purchased from the Unity Asset Store. The package comes with full instructions on use, as well as example code and access to the Unity scripts.

The main use cases are for a device to publish a service, or search for other devices publishing services nearby. Once a service has been found, one device can connect to another, after which the developer can communicate with the developer through the normal Unity networking procedures.

OneTouchConnect uses the Zeroconf protocol over wifi or other networks, such as a home or office network, or even an adhoc network set up by a mobile phone or laptop.  The technology brings together standard implementations of the technology on each platform under a single branch to make it simple for developers without platform specific knowledge to build games and apps quickly without worrying about the low level API’s.
